I chose to create a One For Every Country (OFEC) collection for a specific point in time. I chose 1980 since that was the year I first became involved as a global citizen. Vietnam was once again one country, but Germany was still split in two. I had to use coins from the 90's for the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia) because they were involuntarily subjugated into the Soviet Union and not allowed to mint currency. However, the United States did not recognize the annexation of the Baltic States, so in 1980, according to the U.S. Government, the Baltic States were Independent countries.
