2020 to present. The Presidential dollars were included in the Mint and Proof sets from 2007 through 2016. As of January 21, 2017, all dead presidents had been honored and there were 5 living ex-Presidents: Carter, Clinton, Bush 1, Bush 2, and Obama. As of January 1, 2024, Trump is also an ex-President and Biden is the current President. The only ex-President to die in the interim is George H. W. Bush (Bush 1) in 2018. His memorial dollar was released in 2020, but was not included in the annual Mint or Proof sets so I bought uncirculated coins from rolls avaialble from the mint for the P and D coins. The S mint only produced a Reverse Proof coin and only as part of the Coin and Chronicles set. I created the Dead Presidents album in case later ex-Presidents pass and are similarly omitted from the annual sets. I don't think I'm being morbid about this. As of Jan 1, 2024, here are the ages of ex and current President: Carter 99, Clinton 77, Bush 77, Obama 62, Trump 77, Biden 81. Reagan lived to 93 and Bush 1 lived to 94 so maybe Carter (who is in hospice care) may be the only addition before my expiration date, but I created the album in case it's needed.
