Errors and Other Oddities

In stamp collecting, we call this area "EFO" for "Errors, Freaks, and Oddities", so I will just call this "Errors and Oddities."

I am really just getting started on this section, so there are only four pages so far. Two pages that hold several 2x2s and flips of various errors and oddities, a page with two Mint Sets that have a coin damaged by the heat sealer at the mint, and a page with 3 notes.

On the first page, the circulation proof is a nickel I found noodling for nickles to complete the modern section of my Nickel album. I'm proud that I found that one myself!

On the page with the Mint Sets, the nickel in the 1993 Philadelphia set is damaged and the penny is damaged in the 2006 Philadelphia set. I don't know if any previous owner was aware of the damage to the 1993 set, but I got the 2006 set directly from the US Mint so it's likely not that rare of an occurance.

The notes are: $1 Silver Certificate, $2 Red Seal, $1 RADAR. It's not only a RADAR, but a repeater as well! Some claim that the first and last letters have to also be the same to be a TRUE RADAR, but those go for $100 so I'll pass!
